About Us

Epic Slant Press LLC is a small publishing company based in North Carolina that currently focuses on books and games. Positivity is the driving force that guides each and every project that the company takes on. The team strongly believes that with a positive outlook anyone can achieve great things. Epic Slant Press LLC strives to support small and local businesses, aid fellow entrepreneurs, and donate a portion of all profits to charities and good causes.

Why Positivity?

Think of a time when you went back to a store or restaurant and an employee there remembered your name. That simple act probably gave you warm feelings (and might help retain your business!). How about a day when all of your customers were angry or just apathetic, and then you had that one customer that was cheerful and grateful for your help? Positive encounters like these make lasting impressions and it is our mission to better serve the community by creating as many of them as possible.

The Multiverse, back and awesome!

TreasureChris and I are back in the saddle after my long trip and we managed to put together a decent show. I had to cut a bunch of stuff because we went long but, on the whole, it came out pretty well. We also want to take things a bit further and involve you guys more if we can. We’re looking for some serious audience participation! Here are some of the neat new things we’re doing to hopefully make the show a more enjoyable place for you to be:

-Multiverse Voicemail: You can now call or text us your question, comment, or jeer. Our number is 336.505.9501. We’ll be playing them on the air (unless you ask us not to) and answering them directly! Join us on Wednesday, 27 July 8 PM EST for our next recording!
-Live recording: We’ll also be offering our chat channel during our recordings. Come participate directly while we record. Hear what gets cut out and have your say!
-A new URL: You can always reach us at Vagary.tv/multiverse but you’ll soon be able to just go directly to http://multiversepodcast.com !
-Contests: We did our Five Star Review contest and that went okay (only Pickledwarf never got back to us)!
-Half Shows: We might start up half shows shortly so you get more Multiverse with a slight twist!

  1. Welcome back guys!

I was a bit surprised to hear you in favor of Rift AA on last week’s show after how they’ve turned out in EQ2. I’m sure the initial roll-out in Rift will be more creative than what we got in DOV (i.e. 96% of the new AA points going to passive stat boosts), but this isn’t a mechanic that can be taken back once it’s implemented. My concern would be that content will be balanced around the AA’s, making yet another thing that stands between new players and being able to contribute in raids. Unlike gear, this one isn’t something you can fix by carrying an undergeared newbie into Greenscale and handing them the loots.

      Thank you sir, thank you!

I’m a big fan of the AA as long as they leave the level grind flat. I’m certain there will be some dull abilities that nobody wants but thus far Trion has done a lot of the character progression stuff right.

You’re right though. If people don’t grind enough we can’t drag them through!

I was thinking(no personal experience with AA) but what if they combined it with the “Heroic Mode” idea from wow and tuned heroics around players using AA and normals around more “casual” players who didnt spend time lvling it up. that way it would hopefuly address the “balancing around AA” issue brought up by Green Armadillo while still letting them get insane with it. just my two cents.
